On Saturday, March 11th,  the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Wilmington Branch will meet at St. Andrews On The Sound Episcopal church at the intersection of Airlie Rd and Oleander/ Military Cutoff. The featured speaker is Sabrina Hill-Black, principal of D C Virgo Preparatory Academy (Middle school) in Wilmington. The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 AM and the program begins at 10:00 AM.

Sabrina Hill-Black is a native of Wilmington NC and has one son. She graduated from New Hanover High School and then received a BA from North Carolina Central University and a Master’s degree in Executive Leadership in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. She was named principal at Virgo for the 2016-2017 school year. Sabrina is the current president of the Cape Fear Alumni Association of North Carolina Central University, a Ruling Elder at Chestnut Street Presbyterian Church and a member of UNCW’s School of Education Advisory Board.  D C Virgo is the only middle school transitioning to the year-round calendar and also is a STEAM school (Science,  Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
